A beautiful blending of three Rhône classics, Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, this little wine exemplifies why the region has always been so celebrated, especially for its entry level "weeknight" wines. Round and soft with plump dark tones of mulberry and pleasant herbal expressions of rosemary, lavender and thyme, this southern Rhône red seems as though it is actively sniffing out food. Despite its ample fruit concentration, Chaume-Arnaud does not lack dryness: there is plenty of acidity and bouncy, pliable tannic structure for those used to spending significantly more on their wine. Not to be overshadowed by the value found in regions like Languedoc or Roussillon to the west, Chaume-Arnaud comes in at a jaw-dropping price when considered with its quality. And organic to boot! Pair it up with hearty winter stews, roasted root vegetables, or roast lamb.
