Martin Ray is an absolute mainstay of California winemaking having started vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains in 1943. Though Martin has long since passed away, Courtney Benham who purchased the brand in 1990 has been true to Martin Ray’s founding philosophy continuing to make wines of high quality that are affordable for the consumer. This classic Cali Cab is sourced from some of the top vineyard sites in Napa and Sonoma. You will not find a North Coast Cabernet of this quality for this price. Structured yet supple on the palate, with dark brooding blueberry and blackberry fruit, and a backbone of light vanilla and toasted notes thanks to time in French Oak. Pairs well with ribeye, sharp Cheddar cheese, and barbecued meats.
