Love You Bunches from Stolpman Vineyards is their flagship natural wine. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and is produced using carbonic maceration where whole, uncrushed, bunches of grapes are placed in vats, which are then sealed and filled with CO2 to remove the oxygen. This triggers a process within the grapes known as intracellular fermentation. Once alcohol levels reach around 2% abv, the grape skins split and release their juice. The results of this winemaking process are lighter, brighter, and more fruit forward wines. This delightful Sangiovese shows bright red raspberry, red currant, rhubarb, and violet aromas. On the palate it is refreshing to the max but bone dry with just a kiss of fine tannin. Just enough of a riper profile behind the bright “ray of sunshine” energetic cut. Candied cherries and red jolly ranchers bring home the deliciousness quotient. A floaty, foamy layer bordering on frothed cappuccino milk marries to the zip and tang. Serve this wine lightly chilled with an arugula salad with roasted walnuts and slices of apple tossed with a raspberry vinaigrette.
