This is a delicious, easy drinking, Pinot Noir  haversted from cool-climate Mendocino Vineyards; an area known for farming high-quality grape varieties that favor cooler climates. These are the conditions ideal for Pinot Noir and this wine exhibits a classic aroma and flavor profile that includes red cherry, cranberry, dried mushroom, cedar, lavender, and rose petal. This would work well with roast birds, other white meats (pork or veal), as well as rich fish like salmon or halibut. It can also handle slow cooked beef stew – Pinot Noir and beef always pair nicely together, think bouef bourgignon. But there is another dimension to this excellent wine that is important to all of us. Delta, meaning change, was born out of a desire by founders Matt amd Alexis Iaconi to create a platform to make a difference in the fight to protect our planet. After seven years of producing wine for their winery Brick & Mortar, the couple created Delta for Environmental Change in 2018 so that they could make a positive change in the environment through donations to non-profit companies such as the Surfrider Foundation and Cool Effect, which are both based in California, but have global reach in their work. For every bottle of Delta that is sold, a percentage of profits is donated to these two foundations.
