Wines from the Baudana vineyards have a reputation for quality, nuance, and elegance. Luigi and his wife have run the tiny production, high quality estate for decades, however eyeing retirement they have asked the legendary Guiseppe Vajra to continue their legacy, and he certainly has! This is a unique white blend from Langhe in Piedmont. A field blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Nascetta, and a dash of Riesling create a complex, aromatic, and beautiful wine. Painstaking care is taken in the vineyard management, and they are a fully organic certified vineyard. This minerally white wine opens with green apple, kiwi, pear, and lime with some candied orange peel. It is smooth and dry on the palate, with a fresh cutting acidity that makes it a very food friendly wine. This is a fantastic wine to pair with most traditional Piedmont cuisine. Try it with truffle pasta, white pizza, Risotto al Barolo, and creamy milk-based cheeses such as Castelmagno.
